The words thatcarry the business.
Public relations, content at volume, and the annual reports listed companies and banks put their name to.
What does a PR agency in Bahrain do differently?
Three things, mostly. It knows the editors personally, it works in Arabic and English natively, and it can put paid, earned and owned media behind the same message because they sit in one team. Gulf Marcom began in 1974 as Gulf Public Relations — this is the oldest part of the business.
- Public relations — media relations, launches, press offices, spokesperson training, issues and crisis
- Content — editorial, social, film and photography, bilingual, produced to a calendar
- Annual reports and investor communications — concept, editorial, design, bilingual typesetting, print management
- Corporate and internal communications — the messages a company has to get right first time
For Zain Bahrain that is a full retainer: campaign and social content, press releases, digital events, TV and radio interviews, strategic partnerships — and the annual report's design and content.

How do you produce bilingual content at volume?
With an editorial operation rather than a project team: a calendar, named editors, one style guide in both languages, and production booked ahead. For Egypt's Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities that runs at more than 500 pieces a month, in 14 languages, across 17 markets and seven platforms.
Volume is a scheduling problem before it is a creative one. Long-form video, photography, social storytelling and influencer work are commissioned against the same calendar, so a month's output is planned as one thing rather than as forty separate briefs.
What goes into an award-winning annual report?
A story, then a schedule. Concept and editorial come first, then design, bilingual typesetting and print management — all against a board sign-off date that does not move. We have produced nine for listed companies, banks and national funds across three markets.
SIPCHEM · Kuwait Finance House · Zain · Arab National Bank · Ma'aden · SICO · Seef Properties · Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait · Tamkeen. The editorial, magazine-style report designed for Tamkeen, Bahrain's labour fund, won Silver at the ARC International Awards for Non-Traditional Annual Reports.
Can you run an editorial operation, not just a campaign?
Yes. For Emirates we led inflight print for a decade — an editorial operation spanning three continents, with monthly and quarterly titles across retail, entertainment and kids' content, distributed to millions of passengers a month.
The creative overhaul of RED, the inflight retail title, covered creative direction, copywriting, editorial design, product photography and production management. The relaunch drove a 23% revenue uplift in its first month. See the Emirates print work.

Frequently asked
PR and content, answered.
Do you design annual reports?
Yes — concept, editorial, design, bilingual typesetting and print management. Nine so far for listed companies, banks and national funds across Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
Do you work in Arabic and English?
Both, natively. Right-to-left work is typeset properly rather than flipped, and the two versions are designed together so neither reads like a translation of the other.
How soon should we start next year's annual report?
Three to four months before board sign-off if the report is being redesigned; six to eight weeks if the format is settled. The bottleneck is never design — it is final numbers and approved quotes.
Can you handle a crisis?
Yes. Retained clients agree a protocol, named contacts and out-of-hours cover before anything goes wrong, not during. Spokesperson training sits in the same retainer.
Do you place media as well as earn it?
Yes. Paid, earned and owned sit in one team, so a launch does not need one agency for the press release and another for the buy.
